Metaxa 12 Star is a premium Greek spirit, known for its high-quality blend of aged distillates and Muscat wines. It carries the "12 Star" designation, indicating that the youngest distillate in the blend has been aged for a minimum of 12 years. This aging process contributes to the complexity and smoothness of the final product. Metaxa is distinct from traditional brandy, as it incorporates a combination of wine distillates and Muscat wines from the Aegean islands. The resulting spirit often features a rich array of flavors, including notes of dried fruits, honey, spices, and a subtle oak influence from the extended aging period. Enjoyed as a sipping drink, either neat or over ice, Metaxa 12 Star is appreciated for its sophisticated and nuanced flavor profile. Keep in mind that product availability and specific details may vary based on your location and regional distribution. It is always advisable to check with local retailers or distributors for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
